    About the Role

    Due to the continued growth and success of our Employment team in Wiltshire, we are looking for an NQ Solicitor to join us. The team have gone from strength to strength in recent years and are now one of the largest Employment teams in the Wiltshire region.

    This role will work alongside the Head of Department and other fee earners in the team to undertake a mix of non-contentious and contentious employment work for both employees and employers. This is an excellent opportunity to gain exposure to a wide range of high quality employment work.

    Responsibilities of the Role

    • Manage a caseload of Employment files, under supervision, dealing effectively with cases and transactions including contentious and non-contentious, respondent and claimant work.

    • Prepare effectively and progress advocacy matters, negotiating the most appropriate solutions for the client.

    • Raise personal profile and attracts delegated work; take responsibility for aspects of BD projects within the department

    • Research and draft article and assists with the production of marketing materials

    • Encourage juniors/ trainees and give feedback to assist their learning, effectively delegating tasks where appropriate

    • Participate in projects and supports the team by being flexible, putting forwards ideas for general business improvements and offers to assist in implementation

    • Understands, learns and applies all business processes applicable to own work learning new processes as required


    About You 

    • Newly qualified solicitor with up to 2 years PQE. Applications will also be considered from qualified Legal Executives

    • Previous experience of Employment law (minimum of 6 month seat)

    • Ability to manage your own files, with minimal supervision

    • Strong client management skills with a focus on delivering exceptional client service

    • Organised and efficient

    • Positive Attitude to Work- You approaches work with positivity and energy and thrive in a busy environment.

    • Effective Communicator- You clearly conveys information and ideas through the relevant media. You speaks in Plain English.

    • Self Aware- You recognise your personal strengths and weaknesses and use that knowledge to interact positively with others. You maintain a professional impression.

    • Resilient- You function effectively under pressure and handles difficult circumstances in a manner that is acceptable to others and Royds Withy King.
